Privacy Policy
LocalForge ("we", "our", "us") is an open‑source desktop agent that runs entirely on your machine.
This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and safeguard information on:
- localforge.dev (the "Site"), its sub‑domains, and our public Discord
- any pre‑built binaries or paid editions we distribute (collectively, the "Software")

2. Information we collect
2.1 Site

Payment details (card numbers, PayPal IDs, etc.) never touch our servers; they stay with the payment processor (e.g. Stripe, Gumroad, Lemon Squeezy).
2.2 Software
The app does not collect any telemetry or send any data to our servers. All data remains on your device.
3. How we use data
- Provide, secure, and improve the Site & Software
- Process payments & deliver license keys
- Respond to support requests
- Compile non‑identifying stats (e.g., download counts)
Legal bases (GDPR): contract, legitimate interests, and consent.
4. Cookies
We set one session cookie (_lf_session). Third‑party payment widgets add their own cookies.
You can disable cookies; basic browsing still works.
5. Sharing
We only share data with processors bound by DPAs: payment providers, Plausible Analytics (EU, self‑hosted), and our email service.
6. Your rights
Email privacy@localforge.dev to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data (EU/UK/California and similar jurisdictions).
7. Security
TLS everywhere, encryption at rest, principle of least privilege.
8. Children
We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe we have, contact us for immediate deletion.
9. Changes
Material changes → banner on the Site + note in GitHub release notes ≥ 7 days before they take effect.
